you need to tak him to a vet, if he is vomiting in that much amount then it means something is seriously wrong with his gastro intestinal tract...Excessive vomiting causes the eating of esophagus, stomach lining, and dehydration, he can also aspire on the vomit causing respiratory distress....many things can caus excessive vomiting, poisons, allergens, or foundering, However its evident that he didnt ovreat or th vomiting would have ceased by Now. This being said, what was in the surroundings?? has his behavior changed has he become lethargic?? anything out of th ordinary, stress doesnt usually cause those issues, he may have gotten into something he shouldnt....you need to gt fluids into him start with pedialyte or chicken broth if he cant keep it down a vet is in order or it can cause severe problems...greasy means stomach acid.. he has nothing to throw up something has irritated his tract, get him looked out, after a good hour-2hour (give or take) off vomiting I would have taken him to the vet usually canines throw up what irritates them and they are done... check for blood in the vomit, was there any antifreeze around anything of that sort???regardless he needs his fluids at least th vet can give an IV of NS to him to keep him hydrated

After reading all of the answers you got so far. Just take the dog to the vet before it's too late. None of us can actually see the dog in person. It is very hard to diagnose any thing like this. Don't give the dog any thing else to eat or drink as it is probably making his stomach more upset. You don't need a whole page of "it could be's" either. Get the dog to the veterinarian ASAP!

Foamy vomit probably just means there's nothing left to throw up, BUT - vomiting all day is SERIOUS. Not likely Parvo unless the vomiting is accompanied by foul smelling diarrhea.

More likely causes are poisoning, Bowel obstruction, twisted stomach, or pancreatitis...plenty more. All of these are life threatening problems that require immediate intervention. If your dog is still throwing up you need to get him to a vet NOW, it may be too late in the morning.

It could be hundreds of things. If he's been vomiting for over 12 hours now, then you need to take him to a vet ASAP!

Please, for your dog's sake, try to do it now instead of waiting for people to answer. Like I said, it could be anything, and no one on here will be able to give you a legit answer. By waiting, things could get worse.

I wish you and your dog the best!

Please take the dog to a vet. It's impossible to diagnose an illness on the internet, but if the dog can't keep down fluids it needs to be taken to a vet so it can be monitored before it becomes dehydrated.

I would think after throwing up the first 6 hours I would have been taking him to the vet.

This is very serious and you need to take your little friend to a veterinarian right away. At the very least your pet deserves for you to call a Vet right away and listen to their feedback and I pray he/she will be okay. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ for healing for by His stripes we are healed. Amen

do you trust the person that watched your dog?, sounds almost like the dog has an internal injury, do you notice any blood at all, get him to the vet asap.
