A guy asked me out today, and I said no. I hardly know him. (I don't even know his name) The times that I have seen him (He goes to my church) he just really seems kinda annoying. He just really isn't my type. I feel bad for saying no though. My friend tells me that I should have said yes. But I know it would have been ackward for both of us. I am kinda shy, and I'm definately not looking for a relationship right now, where as I am pretty sure that he is. Was I wrong in saying no?

Absolutely not! First of all you hardly know the guy. I mean, you don't even know his name for crying out loud!!! You also said he is not your type, and that you arew not looking for a relationship right now,and you're pretty sure he is. WHAT MORE REASONS DO YOU NEED TO SAY NO!!! Don't be held back because you feel guilty saying no.

Hell no, you're fine. Just cuz a guy goes to your church doesn't mean you have to say yes. Only go out with guys you actually like. What's the point in spending time with someone you think is annoying?

Don't feel badly about that, If your not looking for a relationship then you're not looking for a relationship, Simple as that. You did the right thing. If you went out with him with no real interest in him then that would sort of be leading him on ya know?

Well if you have not intentions at all to at lease get to know him then it was ok to tell him no as long as it wasn't rude or anything. But if he asked you out and he goes to your church maybe it won't be as bad as you think. I say at least give him one shot just to see how things could turn out. If after that you are still not interested then I guess you could stick to your guns. Good luck

Holly, you did not make a mistake. Why spend time with someone that doesn't interest you? Honor yourself, love yourself and you will not have any trouble saying "no" to someone you feel will be a waste of time for you.

If you don't like him, or aren't interested, then you're not wrong in saying no. You wouldn't want to lead him on...it's not fair to him, or you.

you shouldn't feel bad if you went on the date with him and you didn't even like him the you would be leading him on and that would be worse
