If you mean Molossus, this was a more primative breed of dog that is now extinct. But the Mastiff breed of dog is believed to be descended of it.

They were used in battle and to fight lions and tigers. When the Romans conquered Greece, they adopted the Molossus dogs and also used them in battle, in the hunt, and in the arena. A list of dogs that descend from this ancient breed.

It should be spelled Molossus but there is little evidence to suggest precisely what they look like. Descriptions say they had long straight legs and flowing ears and could be compared to an American Pit Bull or a Catahoula (without the spots)in build but most likely larger. There is much myth about it being related to a Mastiff but descriptions don't seem to match that at all and there is no evidence of any true connection at all except in size.
