I don't know, but the more I think about it, the more I am apt to think that a person tends to live the life they want, rather than the life the think they want.

Why do I think this way?
Oh, because that is what everybody seems to be doing.
You may say you want to live another way, but you aren't, so that must mean that this is what you really want and not something else, or else you would be living that life.

Does that make any sense?

It makes complete sense:)

Life isn't what I expected it to be. For one thing, I thought I'd own a pony.
I'm lucky enough to get a second chance at life, and love, and I'm not wasting it.
I'm glad that things didn't turn out the way I expected them to. What fun would that be? It's the surpises that make life interesting!

I must be very odd. I don't remember ever sitting around thinking that life was going to be any certain way, I just sort of live it. Perhaps I'm not very ambitious or something. Anyway, as long as I've been a born again Christian, I don't really think about how things "might" or "should" be, I really just live one day at a time.

I'm sorry man but u are wrong. Take a kid with a dream to become a huge NBA Star. He busts his *** every day goes through the training gets good grades in school and is the star of his high school team. the only problem is he is 5'4 so he didn't make it despite all his efforts. then u get the guy who can care less about basketball but he grows to be 7'3" and has no skill what so ever but the coaches take him because of his natural height is that fair for the guys that bust their *** every day to get somewere just to fail someweree in the end. NO! but thats life a big pile of Brontasuars ****. this is what people go through every day busting their *** feeding their families trying to make a living it may not be the life they want but thats what we do and we learn to accept it and like it take life for what it is because if u dont u will become f'cked up mentally and end up doing somthing u dont want to. so from me to everyone one else who busts their *** everyday to get by. I salute u. and keep up the good work.

The world is rather different from what I expected.

For starters, when I was a kid, I never anticipated having to work for a living.

There are many other differences too numerous to mention, and I don't feel like it anyway.

The world is rather different from what I was expecting, oh did I say that already?

I can't really tell if life is what I expected it to be because I had no choice on living. I can tell you my job is what I expected or if being a mother is what I expected but I didn't get to expect life before it happaned so how can anyone really answer this question?

Not at all.
I expected it would be a lot worse with less comfort, more misery and an early demise considering my origin and early life.

Learning about and using creative visualization is what helped me achieve the kind of life I have now.

Makes perfect sense.

I think though that many are living the life they are because they don't believe that their dreams are attainable. Many poeple feel stuck in life and come to accept where they are and tell themselves that they're happy there.

Life, for most of us, is a half-filled cup....you are very much right to point out that life is being imposed upon us.
No, it does not make any sense at all.
