Hebrews 6:20. Where the forerunner Jesus is entered for us, made a high priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech.
Melchizedek, it goes on to explain, had no descendants, and this was the discreet way of saying he was unmarried, which was another discreet way of saying he never knew a woman. The writers of the bible did not have such words to describe a person's sexual status. Anyone who was unmarried was a virgin, unless pointedly saying the person was a harlot or prostitute, and no one ever said that about him.
You will notice, also, the great tracts of old testament, where so and so begat so and so, and on and on, and marrying going on all the time, and this is pointedly absent in the new testament. If Christ had descendants, you can bet they would have been put down. Monotonously so.
Also, Matt 8:20. And Jesus saith to him: The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
By this, you can guess he had no family life...
Third consideration: During the crucifixion, he makes sure that his mother is taken care of. If he had a wife, he would have made sure that she, also was taken care of.
John 19:26. When Jesus therefore had seen his mother and the disciple standing whom he loved, he saith to his mother: Woman, behold thy son.
19:27. After that, he saith to the disciple: Behold thy mother. And from that hour, the disciple took her to his own.

There is nothing at all in the Bible for many of the years that Jesus spent on this earth. There are no clear tellings of any, or lack of any, of Jesus' sexual activity. He could be Gay or a libertine with women such as Mary Magdalene is sometimes described as concubines. No one knows, because no one wrote anything down. I find it interesting that there is so much detail on subjects that will market Christianity and so few that would only bring forth truth without profit.

If he was married he wouldn't have been a very good husband. He hid his relationship with his wife which would have been disrespectful to her, he didn't provide her with a home, and he didn't have a job to support her. And what kind of woman would want a man who was constantly on the road and in trouble with the authorities? Yet he is claimed by some unbelievers to just be nothing more than a good and moral teacher.

It doesn't say either way. They didn't like to talk about stuff like that, cause if you're a virgin that ain't too smart; and if you're not a virgin and not yet married that ain't too smart either, not in them there days.
Unless of course I'm mistaken.
I do know that Jesus belonged to a union. I think it was the Amalgamated Rabbis Menschood.

In Biblical times (in fact in pre modern times) virgin meant unmarried. If you say someone doesn't have sex they would have used "chaste".
As a Rabbi he would have been expected to marry and father children. That he did not was because he said the end times would come within a generation (this is CLEARLY stated many times !) and he says NO-ONE should have kids as the End would come soon and there would be no point!!!!

Are you intense? The bible is God's be conscious or in spite of and while you're asserting "properly do no longer in simple terms study that reason it won't make experience study the student's writing too" then you definately're asserting the bible won't make experience and you ought to not could desire to study any student's writing's to understand the bible. The bible is meant to be the words to stay with the help of and in case you should extra realize it with pupils writing's then you definately understand on your coronary heart the bible is organic crap.

The Bible does not address your question. It is assumed that Jesus did not marry as it is not stated so in scripture, and he died at 33, his last years being more than well documented by a variety of sources. Hence He kept all the Hebrew Laws, and fornication was taboo, it then follows that He was celibate.
Does it really matter? He ROSE FROM THE DEAD!! Pretty awesome in my way of thinking!

It doesn't.
As an interesting side note, my high school Latin teacher told my class that the original Bible did not say Mary was a virgin, just that she was a young woman, which was obviously then mistranslated.

There aren't. But the truth is there for those that dig. Jesus was never married. You see, His life was devoted to what the Father God wanted. When you marry and Paul talks about this, some of your devotion goes to the wife and takes away from God. No Jesus was never married His total devotion was to svae the lost and fufil God's Word.

Good question. Reality would lean towards that Jesus had a family. It would have been VERY strange that he wouldn't have one being 33 Jewish male...more strange than being married.
But if he was married then the Catholic church would be proven bogus because of the fact that they want their priests to be celibate.
