I'm regretting getting my hair straightened two months ago which has severely damaged my hair. Now, I want my natural wavy hair back. Is there any way I can make the chemicals go away faster? Cutting my hair is not an option since it is still fairly short (medium length).

Unfortunately, there is no way to remove the chemicals. You have to cut off the hair you straightened.

You can transition out of the straight look by setting your hair on rollers to get the curly/wavy look back while periodically trimming off the ends. I wouldn't recommend curling your hair with a curling iron since it is already damaged.

There are many things you can do to maximize the growth of your hair; that way your natural waves will grow out more quickly. Try drinking lots of water, fruits and veggies, healthy protein, a multivitamin, scalp massage. Basically, the healthier your body is, the faster your hair will grow, *but* most people will only grow 1/2" a month at best. Still, that could be a whole new head of hair pretty soon if your hair is medium length.

Hope this helps, Kaya

unfortunately, you're just gonna have to let it grow out. don't put anymore chemicals in it, but wash it as you normally would with an extra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. also use a leave in conditioner. it's important that you not let your hair get too dry and weak during the transition. if you wanna match the natural hair with the straightening, you can either flat iron the new growth, or not do anything to the chemically treated part (if that makes sense), so it will not be so straight. i hope this help, and best of luck!

you're in a position to ask your generic hairdresser yet i ought to ask someone with journey. the element with chemically straightening your hair is that in case you do it better efficient than 2 cases (in prob a year), you truly bypass bald. The chemical elements used are very reliable and would damage hair very extremely. try it for the first time yet ensure you preserve your hair healthful via technique of treating it on the salon because you're optimal likely going to finally finally end up with dry damaged hair. My sister had VERY VERY curly hair and it replaced into so pooffy and thick it wasn't humorous. She stumbled on that is larger uncomplicated to administration now even in spite of the easy undeniable truth that she very virtually went bald via truth everytime she stumbled on her hair replaced into going curly decrease decrease back she ought to bypass decrease back and do it decrease decrease back. She merely had to do it three times for it to get truly damaged. She hasn't touched it ever because and easily receives generic haircuts via truth her hair has permanantley stayed straighter than it replaced into till now. Your hair gained't bypass with out postpone and comfortable, it is going to really be better managabile. i ought to imagine of about your selection and in case you actually opt for it. also in case you opt for to color or spotlight your hair which will reason plenty better damage via truth your putting better chemical elements into it as right now as decrease decrease back. So imagine of about it and with a bit of luck your hair will tutor tremendous! I also ought to communicate about that my sister straightens it now and it style of feels reliable yet her hair does no longer look comfortable and healthful as a lot as all and sundry elses. i ought to stick to straightening it (now no longer time-honored) if it style of feels reliable. that is larger properly worth it contained in the accurate.
