There will most likely not be any harm to the child. It's been proven that first cousins aren't close enough genetically to cause strange birth defects. This is of course unless your family is highly prone to a certain illness. In that case, you could harm the child since you would probably both carry the genes. Emotionally the kid is going to have some issues. He or she will be ridiculed a lot in school. They may permanently feel inferior. I would recommend you let the kid see a psychiatrist from a fairly young age to deal with this. There is always the option of using a sperm donor if you are worried about this.

The whole situation sounds not good at all. I don't think your marriage would be legal. Either that or you explained your situation poorly. You are too closely related. The rule for marrying is marriage is only legal if you are atleast marrying a3rd cousin or beyond. Remember, it is also the inbred diseases you have to worry about. In the south there is inbreeding and madness because of this inbreeding. I'm sure there is that problem in the north, I just haven't seen it.

The blood group is not the problem you need to look at. You really need to look at the genetic make up of cells. You are related and you do not want to have recessive genes showing up that may be a problem with your children. Some things you look for is hemophillia in the family or any other disorders. You need to talk to your doctor so that certain tests can be done.

Being 1st cousins give you a substantial risk of having a child or children with congenital birth defects; if you would love your children so much, don't have them with each other to spare them of the detrimental effects it may reap

That you are asking this question is proof positive that you should be tackled and neutered. The world is bad enough for kids without their misguided parents making it worse by subjecting them to a lifetime of medical problems.

if there is any type of genetic disorder in your family you run a heavy risk of compounding it in your children. for example, if you have diabetes in your family the risk of passing it to your children rises to about 100%. There is a risk of Downs syndrome (mongoloidism). Genetically you are too close to run no risks. if she conceives, she could have the baby tested before birth...then you would have to decide what to do from there...its pretty risky.

Ist cousins may or may not have trouble with damaged children.
You need to have gene testing done to make sure you don't have anything that will carry over to the children...

Dump eachother and move on. That is blood related and too close. Plenty of people in this world. Go find someone else.
