The 9/11 hijackers claimed that they were doing it for God. With that kind of love, who needs hate?

Yes. Everything works that way. Example: My husband just started working for a huge company about a month ago. They already offered him a management position, and he decided he wasn't going to take it. I told him that I didn't have an opinion, but my only thought was that he should pray to God and ask Him what he wanted him to do... Later after this, he decided on his own he wouldn't take the job.. Less than a week ago, they held his interview for the position and he went to it. The next day, they gave him the management position and sent him off to training!

Long story short, it doesn't matter what you think you want or don't want in your life. All that matters is that you follow God's will for your life. Because everything does work together for good to those who love God.

Nope. So far, all i've found ths that all things work together for good, whenever I realize that by undergoing some of the more horrible episodes in my life, when I start to apply what I learned from them, to what I'm learning that God wants me to learn.

Yes I have found that to be true. Sometimes when things are happening I don't understand how they could possibly be for the good of God but looking back, when I can see the big picture, I can then see it.

If you're willing to believe that if you love God everything that happens is good, or will result in good, then in your own mind at least that is true.

A Christian youth group is killed when their bus falls off a bridge. A Christian's child dies when a rock randomly falls on him while on a church picnic (personal experience). A Christian mother dies leaving her child homeless. A baby with terminal cancer is born to a Christian family and suffers horribly before dying, in spite of his/her parent's prayers. A Christian is killed, or horribly and permanently maimed in an accident despite his/her prayers for safety.

If you can convince yourself to believe that those things are good, or that good will come from them, then yes, all things work together for good.

I have not been able to convince myself that such things are good, regardless of prayer or God's will, good or othewise.

And as for good that might come from such things, I cannot understand why an omnipotent, loving God couldn't have found a way to accomplish that goodness without causing his beloved children to suffer such tragedy.

I am happy for those who do find belief in God's love and protection comforting. I wish someone could convince me otherwise so I too could take comfort in God's love and protection, and many have tried.

But if belief in God cannot assure me that such tragedies will not befall me or my loved ones, and history has proven that it cannot, then I personally find it impossible to believe in and take comfort in His love and protection.

Of course they will.
It may not seem like it at the time or situation.
And God would not promise us something if was not true.

PS I really like that verse, I had to memorize all of Romans 8 in grade 8.

Absolutely. Everything in my life, even that which I perceived as bad at the time, has turned out good. Maybe not the way I wanted, but definitely for the best in the long run.

definitely. Not everything is good in and of itself, but looking back, I can see how God took all the bad things and turned them around to make something good come out of it. It it something that only God can do - and I thank Him for it.

All things work together (not all things are good) for the good.Read the men of the bible and what they went through to reach where they needed to be.

All things? In my experience? NO. But I truly do expect that I will experience that it IS so for ALL things, but perhaps not in this lifetime. Meanwhile, I just accept that if I have faith in God, it is the only logical conclusion.
