Find a bridge that you can walk across, take 1 step onto it and look around, take a drink and enjoy the scenery. Once you are comfortable there, take 2 steps onto the bridge and look around and enjoy it. Go back the next day and take 2 steps again. Keep doing that until you are comfortable with 3 steps. Eventually you will be able to cross that bridge with ease. Do the same thing for high places. Maybe start on the first rung of a ladder. Then the second. It takes time but you can do it.

They have special gradual immersion classes that help people with fears get over them. They also have these same classes for fear of planes. Try googling it and I'm sure you will be able to find a company in your area that you can take classes through.
