Well, with graduate school becomming a norm, I would say try to move out by at least 30 because you want to be indepedant eventually. Plus the 30's are supposed to be some of the best times man. But if your really not financially ready, do the smart thing and don't let your ego or peer pressure force you out prematurely or else you will be blowing away a lot of money for no reason. Take care man and have a good week!

well i would agree with 19 cause you should have a good job and a good place to live, but until u are ready to face the world out there and not run to Ur parents for every thing ,just to take some things in Ur on matter of hands but for some things u could go to Ur mom or dad or any age that you are ready too.

Depending on your situation, you should plan to save up and move to a place as soon as you get done with school--high school or college. You become independent when you are on your own. Sure it's tough, but you learn to budget and spend wisely when out on your own.Get a job or two to make the moneyt to live--you know you won't save anything living at home--you'll just spend and spend. Staying at home is restrictive--parents always there watching you---get out so you can date and have a normal life. Good luck and have fun

As long as you all get along and enjoy living together it doesn't matter what age. Here in the U.S. most offspring move away to go to college and don't move back in with their parents when they graduate. However, if the parents are respected and their child works and pays rent and contributes to the household chores, etc. I don't see that age enters into it.

As long as you are in school it is acceptable to stay with them, even if you are in your late 20's. If you are finished with your education and have a job and have had that job for awhile, people tend to think it's odd if you are, say, 23-24 and still living at home.

That all depends on you and the reason that you are still living at home..I myself, believe that our role as parents is to promote indecency in our children as they grow..That means, I do not do anything that they are able to do on their own..I might help to them them a favor, but I know that I am not helping if I do it for them..
My role is also to do what I can to encourage responsibility, school, work and so on.. Should my child stay with me till they are 25 to be able to stay in school and save money for their future security then why would I want to damper a good thing for my child...
I would not have my child stay with me @ 18 plus if they sat around waiting for life to pass them by..I hope that clarifies my thoughts on how long a person should stay at home.
Also there are times that the health of our siblings may bring some concerns on whether you should stay at home or not.
And like one person said, we need to respect the home of the parents whether we agree with it or not..

I hope you are asking because you are thinking of moving out. But by what i sense i think you are scared, and sont want to seem odd.and being with parants. I hope ur mom and dad are not giving you a hard time. But if you are working you have to try hard and dont be In a comfrot zone. "Becasue then its really hard to get out of that" Try to grow up and be Dpendant of your self and nobody else because you want your family to proud that you can make it on your own.Not dissappointed that time goes by and you are the same.
