Taking Vicodin every night is not ok--its bad for you, its for pain management. Go to your doctor, tell him you are taking Vicodin every night to go to sleep, could he please prescribe a sleeping pill.

Vicodin is not good to take every night. You should see a doctor and have them suggest a sleeping pill. Vicodin should only be used for pain.

I'm 1 to talk b/c I like the "high " it gives me but Vicodin is a very addictive painkiller & even though it has sedative properties I wouldn't recommend it as an all the time sleep aid. I've taken several sleep aids: Trazadone, Valium & Xanax & it's just finding what works for you. There's always the sleepytime teas but those just make me relax. If it's available I'll "smoke out" & will put me right in lala land but I don't want to encourage "illggal drug use"
