i have my boyfriend visited me for the weekend. my father is an old fashion guy. one morning my bf and I were in my room talking sitting on my bed. my father heard us and barged in and started going crazy. i thought he was going to punch my bf. we weren't doing anything. do you think my bf will think of me differently and leave me? would he think less of my family?

No, this is natural. It might depend on your boyfriends family life a bit but its likely that he will cope just fine with whatever rules he has to obied by in your fathers home. You will be his barometer. Make your home enjoyable for him to be at and he will not feel awkward there even if you mom, dad, sister, brother cousin or whomever flys off the handle on occasion.

I don't know your ages and I don't care---you were home, you should have kept the visit as respectable as possible---sit in the living room--that's it--respect you dad. If you are over 18, get a room in a hotel for your friend...then you can visit on your own terms. Now forget about it and move on
