What would you think of a guy that has a girlfriend but has a myspace behind her back, talks to girls online and tells them he loves them, and even talked to a girl on the phone???

I'd think he was young. The said "girlfriend" needs to be aware and tell him to wait to label things with her until he is sure of what he wants. I think it is healthy for people to talk and date around, and using online resources is not out of place in this day and age. But all involved parties need to understand the boundries of the relationship and the word "love" needs carry with it the appropriate intention and not be used lightly.

It should be ok for this guy to talk to other girls, but tell others that he loves them goes too far.
He doesn't sound desperate. Maybe a bit of jerk, but not desperate.

No, just someone that not happy with their current relationship, and is looking to meet new people. To say you love someone is streching it a bit, and should be proceeded on with caution.
