I just bought 2 parakeets, and one of them keeps shaking its tail. is this normal? or does it mean something bad?

its normal.... i suggest u cut their flight wings n u will see them hop instead of fly!!!!

If it's a female bird, it means the same thing as a when a girl shakes her tail when walking down the street--she wants to be in a Pussycat Dolls video.

It depends on what you mean by shaking it's tail. If it is shaking it while rubbing it on a perch or somthing to that nature then you have a male and he is ummm........ well taking care of himself. If it is just shaking it that could be many things yes a loose feather, or maby a matining thing or many other possibilities.

It is the bird's wish to shake the tail. If you want, you can also shake yourself.

one of the tail feathers may be getting loose, which is completly normal by the way! one may fall out in the next few days

no take to the vet immediately. if if does that every few seconds,the tail muscle is too strong!

this maybe because he has flees.also he maybe have an ich or an algegic reaction
