Last fall, I had a bunch of earaches, but they weren't bad and I just thought that they happened because of my colds and I was too busy with school, so I didn't go to the doctor.
Lately, I noticed that I can't hear as well as I used to. I can't hear a word someone says if they whisper or if they talk below a certain volume. I keep on having to have people repeat themselves, which I never did before.

Did I damage my hearing by ignoring the earaches? Is there anything a doctor can do now? (I'm 16).

You MUST get an appointment with an ear, nose, and throat doctor. You may have to be referred to one by your family doctor. Start out at a family doctor--if you don't have one, get one.

Don't panic about it, please. Sometimes hearing lost could be due to a built up of Wax in the ear. But to be sure, see a Doctor
and hopefully his diagnosis would be something he can easily fix. Good Luck.
