You people are sinners in the eyes of whatever gods you pray to for your biggotry and your almost fascist hatred for anything different. Yes, Ted's an old story, and not a shining example for either side. But he's still a person, and I think I'll use this to say what I need to.

1.) So he was gay. Point being? The old testament, if read over and over, has NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING against homosexuality. The NEW testament, lost, translated, translated, and translated again, and each time injected with the bias of the translator, has it. I wonder why?

2.) So, even if homosexuality WERE a valid sin. Doesn't it also say in this "holy book" that the only person that's supposed to judge you is God himself? (And/Or St. John, depending) So you're all basically commiting the worst sin of all by pretending that you're God and that you have the right to judge all homosexuals, including Ted Haggard.

3.) As a comment to the whole, "he had treatment, and now he's straight!!!11!1lolwtfbbqwaffle" nonsense, no amount of "therapy," "treatment," or "reform" can change someone from being who they are. The American Psychiatrical Association made a ruling almost TWO DECADES ago saying that Homosexuality is NOT A DISEASE and that YOU'RE BORN THAT WAY. If God really intended to force these people into a doomed existence, I'm sure he would have sent them straight to hell in the first place. But with all the talk of people going to hell just for being of a different faith, I guess it's possible that he likes to see them suffer.

Just some food for thought from someone who's really had it.

Ted Haggard also believes 2+2=4, so by your logic 2+2 does not equal 4.

Genius.

Whats your point? Ted Haggard is a man. Men sin. I'M sure Ted knows he sinned. You cannot take one man out of millions and discredit the whole bunch, even if he was a leader.

He should know. At least by now he should have experienced the conviction of the Holy Spirit as well as knowing what GId's word says.

But you know we are all sinners,. The Bible also makes that very clear - "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23. Rom 1:29-32 ... fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. " "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. " Revelation 21:8 Sin is sin. and as Romans 6:23 tells us "the wages of sin is death" We are all bound for eternal death and there is nothing we can do to get ourselves out of it whether we did a hypocritical stunt like Haggards, were a mass murderer or told our mom we were not the one who did something when we did. That's the bad news,.

But there is also good news read the rest of Romans 6:23 "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." and John 3:16-18 " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God"

So it's our own choice if we want the bad news that comes by staying in sin or the good news that comes of receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior and accepting His solution to our sin. Which one do you choose?.

I hope by now Ted Haggard has decided to let Jesus deal with his sin instead of trying to deny it and has become free in Christ.

Meaning no offense, Ignacio, but quoting wikipedia loses you at least 10 credibility points.

I just love it when these things come to light
The real sin is the "wolf in sheep clothing"
That is what God spoke about quite often

Jesus said, "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. "

The weaknesses of Tedd Haggard, or whoever else is preaching,
are not an excuse for us to ignore the Word of God.

What's new about that? It's God that said it. Apparently, that pastor is just repeating what God said.
I didn't listen to what he said but my guess is that the man is trying to keep people from making a terrible mistake. Is something wrong with that?

It is a sin. God had no intent on us to live like this!

18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

This chapter tells us because they are so unwwiling to know the truth then God gave up on them and turn them back into their sin.
