I need to tell my mom that I am dating a guy, my age, my school, nothing out of the ordinary. I have never dated a guy before, I am in 8th grade. It is nothing serious, we have not even kissed or anything. He just puts his arm around me and we talk and stuff. She thinks that I really want to get revenge on him for some weird thing that he did a while ago though. I have no idea how to tell her that I am going out with someone! There are other people going out in my grade and stuff, more serious than me, but I have no clue how to tell her. My mom and I are REALLY close, so I tell her almost everthing, how do I tell her that I am now going out with a guy?

We also do not even plan on going OUT. Kind of like a in school type thing. I do not want anything serious at all right now!

just sit her down, and tell her that you have a special guy friend who you spend some time with. since you're very close to her, you can tell her that she shouldn't worry about you two being sexually active and all that; but that you're just dating. it sounds like you and your mom have a good relationship, and i think she should take it well and be supportive as well as offer you advice. keep in mind, you're probably like 14 so it's good you guys aren't getting serious, because i think that's a little young for such. good luck!

If you and your mom are REALLY close than you need to tell her right away before she finds out from someone else. That will only put a strain on your relationship. Also I'm sure she'll be glad to know that nothing has happened between you two. It'll only bring you and your mom closer by confiding in her. There's nothing worse than a child doing something behind a mother's back! All mom's want to do is help their children make the right decisions in life so please talk to her! Good Luck!

I'd tell her there's a guy at school that you really, really like. If you haven't dated, I wouldn't say "I'm going out with him." I'd say, he walks me to classes and stuff, and tell her you think a lot of him.
I'd also tell her he hasn't kissed you and that he puts his arm around you and you walk here and there and talk.
I like to ease my Mom into things that I have to tell her. It seems to help when she has time to think things through, a little at a time. Of course, it's been quite a few years since I was in the 8th grade, but I still remember the guy I fell in love with back then.
Hope things work out well for you. And... don't have sex with him. Just... don't go there. Both of you are too young for that kind of thing, just yet. Yeah, yeah.. I know... I sound just like a Mom.. ;)

Just ask her if you can invite a friend over on day and bring him home. Introduce him to her mybe he can stay for dinner. She will soon work out that you like each other and bring the subject up her self. Plus she gets to meet him and if he is a nice guy (im sure he is) she will have no reason to worry.

Just come right out and tell her. It sounds innocent enough and honesty in this case is the best policy (I do not think it is always the best policy). If there is trust between your mother and you then there should be no problem. Tell her, you'll be glad you did. Promise.

I would just say things have changed with him, and you two really like each other. The problem from the past has been worked out.

Just bring it up when you two are alone and tell her you want her to know because you value your relationship with her and that you love being so close with her. If you are honest and tell her it's just innocent puppy love and its not serious, she should understand and maybe you could offer to introduce your new man to your mama!

Tell your mom now. You are too young to be dating at all. Stop it now. If you have to hide it,you already know you are wrong, so come clean and tell the truth before you loose your mother's trust.

I guess the best way would be to invite him over to your house, so that she can meet him. However, dont be surprised or disappointed, if she feels you're too young to be dating.
