Lots of fast diets produce results by pumping up your rate of micuration (pissing). These are also the ones that may recommend drinking as much coffee or tea as you want (these are diuretics, and again stimulate micuration, the same as taking water pills). Its ot a healthy way to lose weight, and produces false results. Mainly you lose water in your body. And if you go on that diet, you'll become a yo-yo dieter, if you aren't already — you'll be excited by losing weight, but you'll make it back, or gain more weight on the rebound.

Almost any good nutritious diet, if you do it slowly and for a long time, will mean losing fat gradually and (with exercise) building muscle. If you build muscle, your scale will go up for a while (muscle weighs more than fat). Healthy weight loss might be a pound a week. You can get these diets for free, e.g., from the government, or get a diabetic diet or use Weight Watchers, they are generally all the same type of balanced nutrition diet. If you eat 250 calories a day less and burn another 500 calories by a build up of a bit of daily exercise, you will be losing an average of 750 calories a day and that should eventually lead (after your system stabilizes) real loss of a pound a week. But you have to keep at it.

i've never heard of such a thing. yes you must stay hydrated, but if you drink that much all you will do is pee a lot and wash a lot of the nutrients out of your body...and you'll stretch out your stomach so you'll probably eat more.

Too much water can lead to water intoxication!
