I'm an atheist and I think that the methodology followed in this "study" was horrible.

Don’t bother asking Christians not many of them watch the discovery channel. I thought it was interesting I don’t have an absolutist view on it though. It could possibly be the tomb but also might not be. Just because you have first names that correlate to each other does not prove anything. But you can't simply discard the evidence because holes appear in it. It's a shame they made them close the tomb. I don’t see what was so wrong with it since the bones were not in there. It's not like they were disturbing anything. If you watched the thing afterwards I more agreed with that one retired archeologist that was an atheist. The filmmakers had a good point though, they said it was entertaining yes and highly depended on hypothesis rather then evidence. But they were only trying to start more conversation on the issue of religion. Not just claim that it was indeed the tomb of Jesus. I think the tomb is rather unimportant anyway to tell you the truth. Religion is simply mythology and has no evidence of its own. Which I think should have been attacked also. They spend there whole time attacking the maker of the film about his evidence. But never asked the question well what evidence do we have the bible is an historical record? And what evidence do we have that there is a god except for tales passed down from generations? And why is it that there are so many different tales that claim different people to be the one god? How many people have actually heard god talk to them and not just assume what he wanted by supposed worldly signs? These are the bigger and far more interesting questions that should be talked about. God is completely manmade the question is if that man made idea of god is actually true. Science has chased god out of the creation of earth. And it is slowly chasing him out of the creation of the cosmos. One thing that confuses me is why are there Christians that believe in evolution and the big bang? What is left for god to govern? I think this film had social ramifications to science and atheism though. Because the religious already view science as completely biased and very unscientific since it does not embrace god. But after they see this absurd documentary their narrow minds will presume this to be the belief of atheist’s and scientists. Remeber when they were looking in the tomb and saw the enscription at the top of it and said wow we should get someone to look at this? Did they ever get anyone to look at it? Maybe I missed that part because I was on the computer for a brief second.

first of all, looking the maintains to be has been what people who choose to debunk the Resurrection have tried to do. in case you detect the physique or bones, then Jesus somewhat did not upward thrust from the lifeless. Did you truthfully watch the instruct on the invention Channel? because of fact they stumbled on a collection of male bones and woman bones that weren't right away appropriate, they end that they have forensic information that it could desire to be Jesus's maintains to be. the version between your examples? as quickly as I commit a homicide and that they discover my hair (for what ever reason) on the scene, they are in a position to attempt the hair against? you get carry of it the hair it extremely is on my head and set up a great identity. the place did they get Jesus’s DNA with a view to ascertain a baseline pattern? the project that I actual have with the declare is that the manufacturers of the instruct throw the forensic declare accessible (recklessly) so as that persons are purposefully deceived. I watched the instruct, yet have been given extra out of the Ted Koppel communicate board afterwards. you spot that Simcha Jacobovici dodges each and all of the questions he replaced into asked and might turn-flop on protecting the wild claims made interior the instruct. it somewhat isn't any ask your self they puffed up the instruct and did not enable the Scholastic community (Secular or non secular) to weigh in on the project. They knew, in the event that they allowed the scholastic community to check their findings or the instruct it would be laughed at. yet it extremely is okay, this “discover” has been around because of fact the 1980’s and the BBC did a documentary on the subject rely in 1996. yet Cameron and Jacobovici choose you to have faith that this could nicely be a sparkling discover and it will “blow the lid” off of religion. there replaced into in simple terms way too lots hype for me to abdomen. i assume it worked although, because of fact I watched the instruct. Oh nicely.

I watched it as well. And it had my full attention,This is my Theory...I do not believe a word of it....I know they found something extraordinary..But come on how large was this place when it became a tomb? What family's lived close by..how many names in the bible is a repeat..... over and over again the same names appear in the bible, all but one.......Jesus.He did not have a son,,,How could he...He was the son of God he was God in human form. For everything God has Satan has..God + Jesus Satan + Antichrist.. If he had made love to a woman and created a son on earth... Then Satan's son would have to have a son as well.... God aka in human form would have become human..There was no human bloodline..Just 1 The son of God...No where in the bible does it ever mention someone on earth rising up as his perfect human on earth.Jesus and Mary would have created a human being of flesh and blood..It would have out done God if this child grew up and did not ever sin.... please speak to there hearts dear God and let them see this is just another illusion from Satan to make them see a lie and stray from the truth... aka ...Da Vinci Code My thoughts as i watched this movie.

Even the archaeologist who discovered it says that there is no good archaeological evidence to call it the tomb of Jesus. If it somehow turned out actually to be that - and right now I'm having a hard time even imagining what that evidence would look like - then I'd have to re-evaluate my beliefs. I'd have to know exactly what it was and what proof was used. I'm not going to have to worry about that until it happens, though.

The "Lost Tomb of Jesus" is a fraud...
It is clearly written up as a "Docudrama", which means it is a dramatization and "what may have happened" according to the show's producers.
The James Ossuary was proven to be a fake in the 1990's and it's not just "the faithful" who are proving it to be a fraud it is Secular archaeologists who are slamming this too, read the Wiki article.
This docudrama is trying to piggyback of DaVinci Code's success.
It was made for the sole purpose of making money.
Don't believe it.
End of Story.

How do I feel about it? Sad, because those that have rejected God now have another false claim to rally around to try to justify their unbelief. The truth is the resurrected body of Jesus was seen by many eyewitnesses, and there is no greater witness to attest to the facts than an eyewitness.

It cannot be true. The bible is true, not these people who come up with stuff every once in awhile. What the film does not show is archaelogists who are laughing at the filmmakers....they don't know anything, they are merely saying what people want to hear.
The bible is eyewitness accounts of what happened. These guys who made the film did so for their own purposes....not because it's fact.

Yes,if it was true, our faith would be worthless.
However, the tomb they found is not that of Jesus and his family to begin with.
