This is indeed very cruel. I got the name of the company off the tank and went to their site.

The description says that you can add all sorts of medications & flea treatments!! This can be a very TOXIC situation for the animal inside.

When you dip a dog or cat for fleas & ticks you first put ointment or oil in their eyes to keep the dip from possibly burning the eye, not just burning like I got soap in my eye, I mean damaging the eyeball itself. You take care not to get the dip into their nose of mouth, not a choice in this situation.

Now you have the possible chemicals in a mist form where they can be inhaled into the lungs and cause scarring or pneumonia or possibly poisoning the animal.

I intend to write to this company & I think anyone who cares at all about pets and their welfare should do the same.

Just b/c you push a button to set the water temperature there is no guarantee that the temp is correct unless you FEEL it yourself; There are just so many things that can go wrong with this type of a system and it is absolutely cruel to throw a trusting kitten or puppy into this device and watch it lose its mind with its loving family watching thru the glass.

These animals depend on us for love and care and they trust us, I can see no faster way to destroy such a trust than this machine.

Please visit the site & drop them a line about the hazards this machine poses. Thank you.

Quote from their website:
In addition, using a precise dosage center the Cabin can deliver a variety of medications and chemicals at exact amounts and intervals. The combination of this precise dosage together with variable temperature controls and gradual hydro-muscular massage can help the veterinary doctor administer several different therapies.

I would never go to a vet who would use this device.

I really don't think this Cat Spa should be legal to use. First of all, the poor thing is stuck in something that it has no idea what it is. Then to make matters worse, to try to get out the cat has to jump around and scramble all over the place, meanwhile very possibly hurting itself in the process. This is not a recommendable idea. It hurts just to watch the poor cat have to suffer that way.

That's not funny or sad it's just plain cruel! What a traumatic thing to do to a poor kitty cat just for the sake of convenience. Whoever invented that machine should be locked in their with some poor cat for awhile see how great he thinks it is then!

Dear lysistrat***

I could not watch all, but that is definately animal abuse...........

Can you imagine someone inventing a washing bath like that for babies. I bet you the mothers will never put their babies in that machine.

The sad thing is, the temperament of that cat will have changed forever!!! Thanks to human-beings!!!

just have a story to tell you, four young boys between the ages of 12 - 15 years of age, took a cat, JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT, they said at the court hearing, put it in the microwave for 20 minutes on HIGH, so they could see what would happen.
The cat exploded in the microwave after 3 mins.

VERY SAD!!! and horrific

Not funny at all. Made me both sad and angry. Everyone knows how cats hate water and it's not like they need it since they clean themselves meticulously. Did you see how the poor thing was trying to get out? I had to turn it off when the close-ups came ...and I am NOT a cat lover. Seemed cruel to me.

That is horrible. Although you have to wonder if the cat is trying to catch some of the spray or just escape and how long before the cat will even acknowledge the presence of their owners

Hello. In my opinion the people who thought of that are cruel and hateful of animals. Think about it. Giving your cat, who is scared of water, being trapped, and sudden changes, an involuntary wash. I think that those people who did that are a bunch of stupid f*** heads. I sadly think that the people who came up with that will get rich because many people might think that that is just an excellent idea.

that's not a nice thing to do to a kitty. Apparently it is for an cat-owner's convenience - an owner who does not know how to bathe a cat or is too lazy to do it himself. Sad, I think.

omg thats awful!!! my cats would never speak to me again lol. nah my cats get traumatized by going to the vet and they dont leave my side for a week after. omg i would never torture a cat like that!!! once my cat was outside on his leash when the sprinklers went off he was so scared he had his nails out and ran up my dads leg!!! needless to say he was bleeding for a long time. cats and water = cruel joke.

were you high when you watched this video??? THEN it might be funny.... sorry, that cat was not cool with the spa treatment..... it's just not right..... if we saw a little puppy in there, shivering and howling would we ask ourselves the same question "funny or sad" ?
