Communication. When you are in a long-term relationship things can get boring and repetitive from time to time. You often don't realize it while it's happening, and then suddenly one day it happens. Take about it, and then take a plan of action to change your behaviors. If you feel like your relationship is going through a dull period, plan something fun or out of the ordinary. Take a vacation together, go on a weekend getaway. Make reservations at a fancy restaurant. Host a dinner party together, and plan everything together. It will help restrengthen you bond.

Always share things... whatever you do or your plans ask suggestions about your plan.... this will make that person to think that what can be the best solution for your problem and they themselves will try to do things to help you out in your issues...
Don't ever try to be self centered that will make that person to go away from you...
And don't talk things that in which that person is not involved because your dealings or the jokes at your work may be interesting to you but not others so try to reduce such things until you become very close... Always keep in touch with that person.. that person should always feel your presence even if you aren't there with that person... and that person should feel that he/she is missing you and wants to be with you every time
