Pride is what started this whole sin problem in the first place. Lucifer who was the most beautiful Angel in heaven decided he wanted to be like the most high and rise above him in the clouds. What he forgot is that he was a created being himself and the creation cannot be higher than the creator. He was angry because when the earth was in the planning stages he was not consulted and like any of us who don't get our way, he pouted and gossiped and had a good deal of the angels wondering if he was right that they should not have to be obedient but do as they pleased. He was the first liar and the father of liars and was so good at it that he convinced 1/3 of the angels that he was right. They rebelled in heaven and had to pay the consequences. The Bible tells us not to brag about ourselves but let others brag about us. There is a difference between pride and self-respect. Pride is the major sin of the universe and damages self and others. Self-respect is knowing you are a child of God and that you are trying and that everyone counts. No one knows the percentages because only God knows the heart. We misjudge people all the time because we understand according to our own baggage. Have a great day Mmm

I'll say 85-90 percent of Christians are too prideful because most of them think by being a "Christian" makes them better than others even though half the time they are not truly living the life. I'm sure Atheists are just as prideful especially when in the middle of a religious argument.

How can you be too prideful? I hope everyone would be prideful of there assumption. I am an atheist and damn happy to be one. And christians are christians and are damn happy to be one also. I've been both so I guess I'm a good one to ask on what both are thinking. We both think the other one is wrong and that we are right how would we not be prideful on being right?

Can't say...
But Christianity teaches pride for being who they are and believing they are right above anyone else.
Atheism has no teachings. It does not teach or give us pride. We do not grow up with the push that we are special, rather only human and a part of this world and nature in general. Those of us raised this way mostly grow up well aware that many people have different beliefs, so we tend to grow up tolerant in a mixed society and closed mouthed about our own beliefs.

100% of both christians and atheists. 100% of the entire population is too proud at least some of the time. And people who have strong views they don't want to admit could be wrong are probably too proud most of the time.

if people are completely honest, I would say that the percentage is the same... whether Christian, atheist, muslim or whatever... people are full of pride no matter what religion (or lack of one) they practice... some are even 'proud' of their religious acts!

i do not imagine that documents has been amassed or processed. you may make a life like extrapolation, although, depending on the reformatory documents you cite, and undemanding documents/guidance on psychological performance that has been revealed.
