Atheists, would you tolerate a Christian making such a claim?

Christians, would you tolerate any human from any background (Christian, atheist or otherwise) challenging your sovereignty over YOUR life?

If you agree that you are in charge of YOUR life, how in the world would you ever be so arrogant as to call others (complete strangers in fact) your "responsibility"?
(I'm not talking about your kids or other legitimate "dependents" ... but you know exactly what I'm talking about, so do even begin with the semantics)

You are NOT their responsibility. To each his own, and everybody is judged by their actions. However it is their duty to at least inform you so you don't say at the end 'I didn't know'.

Christians are exhorted by Christ to treat each and every person as if they had just met/found Jesus/God IN that person.

It is not easy to do! We would all rather "fix" the person first.

Wasn't aware anyone was.

Actually, blaming others (meaning PLACING our responsibility on others) seems to be the American way. Sad, but unfortunately true.

iam am no one's responsibility but my own, and in turn, am not responsible for the actions of others. my actions are completely my own and done for my own reasons. the actions of others bear no weight on my shoulders if they don't directly affect me.

I have no problem with it. Two heads better than one. And we cannot be totally self-reliant.
