I live in Michigan and hate this place. Its too cold. My parent's got divorced when I was 9 , my dad passed away 4 years ago.I hate my family , they cause me many problems, my house is in need of costly repairs, I don't have a job yet, I need to go to school , I have a son. I get little to no help from my family. I have no friends. Nothing to hold me here. Should I move?

Let's sit by the fire and chat---yup it is cold out- You do seem to be overwhelmed here--has nothing to do with the temperature--lots of happy people live in Michigan----let's see what the real issues are. Why do you think the family is the source of your problem?? seems as if you were old enough to lay down with some guy and have a baby---you are old enough to take the responsibility for your plight.Where is Mr Charming and why is he offering NO support for you?? He did bounce up and down at least one time--he should be providing for what he did....you know--fathered a child. Why should family be a part of this equation?? they would if they could or wanted to--but since that is not happening, why aren't you using another plan of how to get what you need. Moving to Georgia, or the moon is not going to help if you don't do somethings for yourself. Why are you in a house that needs work? Can't you move to a smaller place in better shape?? Can't say what to do because I don't know what the house issues are....and no job??? Why?? Going to blame the kid?? He is here and that's final--you are not the only one with a child---millions born every year to moms that work--because they want to work--so go get SOME type of job. georgia is mostly woods--where will you work there?? Chopping trees?? And why no friends---I hate to say it but to have a friend, you need to be a friend--did you lose what friends you had--or are they tired of the sob stories?? Can you tell me where the men are??--you must have dated---certainly wasn't an immaculate conception---I guess you learned the truth about dishing out the goods without a committment. well the men in georgia are pretty few and far between---probably all married and with kids at 18. Better stay where you are and save the move money for things you need NOW. Wish I could help but I cannot. Try smiling and saying hello to people, relax and put on another sweater to keep warm. Enjoy your little boy, teach him how to be responsible and respectable---teach by doing. Good luck friend. Don't be mad at what I said--I see this differently than you thought I would see it. Write to me if you want ideas at help with the house---I can give some hints or tell you how to find someone to help--I really do care. Bye Bye

I can see some good in what 'fire' said, although I do have a little more sympathy for your plight!

It does sound like you are in need of a new start. You need to sit down and list your problems and what you should do about them. A move might help, and it might not, but to decide that you'd have to evaluate your other issues and what you want to do about them. Some of the problems you could take with you if you moved, so be careful before you do anything drastic.
