If you have already started taking drugs, try to avoid situations where you are likely to take them again. Get a new hobby, meet some new people...
If you think you might already be addicted, I think it is a bit simplistic to say "just stop"... See a professional for help. If you already have a habit, its very difficult to "just stop" all on your own. Take it seriously, see a professional.
There's a whole world of risk in taking drugs. BE CAREFUL!

do not make contact with anyone - lock yourself up in a small world - free from people. Not all drug addiction people wear signs telling us that they are addicted, so youmay accidentally be around a drugs addiction and not even know it. LIke I said - the best best way is to lock yourself away from everyone.

Don't do them in the first place, and stay away from anyone that does them. Drugs WILL ruin your life and they are very addictive...If you ever get caught up in them get help ASAP. Drugs aren't anything to mess around with.

Stay away from drugs. Focus on some other matters like sports or other community activities. Make yourself busy. Choose your friends and have a weekly bonding with your family.

Never use an addictive drug eg. oxycontin, alcohol, tobacco on a regular basis. If you're using oxycontin, switch to taking estacy for awhile then switch to another drug. Never stay on the same one for too long. If you must use drugs, stick to the non-addictive ones like pot and mushrooms! If you're worried about your ability to control yourself and say no before an addiction starts or that you'll develop a psychological addiction to something, just don't use drugs.
