Hi Amit,
Just download Video Download plug-in for firefox. It is capable of downloading embedded videos (sometimes it fails) from about 40 most popular web sites. You can download some types of media files from firefox itself. Go to Tools-->Page info-->Media. You will find all the objects in the current page. cselect and click 'save as' button. VLC player can also be used to download streaming media.

when the video is running (loading is complete) on your browser, just press " ctrl+s ", it will save the video.
If it saves the whole page then find the video file from the saved page's file folder.
and for audio :-
download audacity (its free) and set the recording properties to stereo mixer. then when the song plays click record. after recording click file>export as WAVE. u will save it in wave format. I do that, now its upto u!

Google "streaming video capture program" there should be some there. (might be filled with viruses to dont download from somewhere suspicious.

then add video downloader
you may need flv player also
