1. I do not follow the war or politics, never have. Stuck my nose in at time to time to see what is going on, nothing more.
2. I try my best to never spread anything that is wrong, whether it is the Bible or items I do for work. For lies and mistruths just lead to more lies and mistruths. No one wins.
3. Since I have become a christian, I have not had sex as now I am saving myself for the one I marry. I do at times look at porn on the computer but that has dropped off by over 90% and is coming down more n more, still fighting that sin.
4. Never claim to be a perfect christian by far, but I try daily to do my best, and that is what matters.

I think you have a total misunderstanding of Christianity. True Christians should get/be more involved in politics than most even know. As far as the teaching of false doctrine, well that can only be correctly claimed by someone who compares it to the word of God. Christianity has nothing to do with the actions of one person, if you're basing this on first-hand knowledge as opposed to assumption.

There has been war and politics all way from the old testament till new testament, but I dont know whether we should be/not involved in it. I am not interested in politics and war personally, but everything will happen according to God's will.
- Spreading false doctrine is wrong, but before accepting Christ we accuse Him just as paul did, then only we know the truth, so its God who gives all their chances.
- Immoral sex - absolutely wrong, but God can correct and forgive them when they repent.
I was a sinner, but God saved me cause of Christ Jesus who shed His blood, so I pray others recieve the salvation and Holy Spirit He gives.

I think you are taking the passages you are quoting out of context in an attempt to bash the Bible. A common theme among those who are unable to grasp the truth and meaning of the whole Bible.

Being a Christian doesn't mean you give up all rights (including voting and running for office).
One of the reason the PC crowd curses and mocks christians is they won't accept sin and immorality (or whatever else they are demanded to believe).

Jon, you cannot possibly believe number one? Would you have told the Christians that died for our freedom in past wars that what they were doing was wrong based on those scriptures? Or our Christian brothers who fight for our religious liberty in congress? Man, you need to REALLY rethink that one. You are way off.
Civil debate and the balance of power for our government was founded by Christians on the basis of Liberty and Freedom. Our brave soldier fought and died with the Bible in their breast pocket. Do not dishonor their sacrifice with such a misuse of God's Word.
A believer is not to go to war? Rediculous. Tell that to Gideon, Jonathan, Joshua, tell that to David, tell that to even Abraham who went to war to save Lot, tell that to God who is identified with war...
Ex 15:3 The LORD is a man of war; The LORD is His name.
Ex 17:16 for he said, “Because the LORD has sworn: the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”
Tell Jesus who will come and make war with those who come against Israel in the last day.
It is obvious, Jon, that you are part of a cult. Probably Jehovah Witnesses. You do not have the correct view of Jehovah, who make war with His enemies.

I was always taught a true Christian is one who believes in the Father with all their might and knows he forgives them for their sins, even if their sins are bein involved in war, spreading false doctrine, and tolerating immoral sex. God excepts us if we except him. Jesus died on the cross for us. Do you think you are a better Christian? In the bible, God excepts even the lowest of people as his. Do you?

i think you can take whatever you want from the bible and twist it into whatever you want to try and convince people of.
same with any religion, that's why religious extreamism is so dangerous.
i am a christian but i could sit here and argue with you about being involved with war and politics that are both SUPPORTED by bible verses all day...but you probably wouldn't believe me anyway, so what's the point.
