We were highschool sweethearts... as of today it has been 12 yrs since i met him .... its been on and off ... been off for a long time now .....didnt break up becuase anyone cheated .... things just went wrong .... over the years we got back together sometimes .... sometimes it was just friendship, somtimes it was just sex .... sometimes we just ran into each other and fell right back into love again.... we have a long history and even when we have run into each other after a long time we share a bond..... i have not spoken to him in about 2 plus years ..... should i try calling him??????? .... i feel like he is my soul mate .... we are amazing together.....

Hm, first of all, call him. You never know until you try! However, it sounds not like soul-mates or love to me at this point, but more like an infatuation with a cycle that, ultimately, leaves you hurt and insecure. You need something more stable and reliable than an on-again-off-again relationship. If you can't make an actual, lasting relationship work with him this time, then I really do suggest you leave the past in the past and focus on your future, because you're never going to find Mr. Right if you can't stop thinking about Mr. Not-So-Right. This time should be your last ditch effort, and if it doesn't work out, MOVE ON!!! There is no point in dwelling on what might have been!

You should for sure call him hun, you seem to be thinking about him all the time, and you will forever think what if, I would call him and see what is up, maybe he is with someone maybe not, you don't know until you try. I know a couple that was like that and after 17 years of not talking they got back together and are now married and they also believe that they were soulmates. I am glad that you found that one, now go get him:).

Yeah, amazingly good at not having a relationship.
Do you seriously think the two of you will stay together THIS time when you haven't managed to make it work in 12 years?
Unless you want an off-and-on relationship. If so, then go for it. Just enjoy the rollercoaster. I hope you wise up eventually and avoid becoming the crazy cat lady.

We can all give you our personal opinion but when it comes down to matters of the heart you are the one who is feeling this, and I would call him, at least you know that you tried and can move on without regrets, or you can tell him and the both of you can build a stronger relationship, with a possible happy ending!!

Yes, you need to call him. What harm can it do? Chances are he feels the same way. If he doesn't want to be anything or is taken just tell him that you were wondering how he has been or something. It won't hurt anything!
