I’m 17 and going out on a first date with a 17 year old guy this week. We don’t know each other to well and I’m the one who asked him out of the day. I asked if there was anything or anywhere he wanted to go specifically and he said he doesn’t mind.

I personally don’t want to go to the movies, just because I would like to get to talk to him. But I also don’t want it to be to fancy and stressful.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Do you have a putt-putt course or something like that in your town? Guys love that stuff...especially if they have go carts. My husband and I did this on our second date... and we also did it while on our honeymoon. It gives you time to laugh and talk and get to know one another. Good luck and have fun!

Since you don't know the guy well, dinner isn't a good option because he might not have the funds to offer to pay and then you'd both feel bad. You're completely right about the movie idea. I had a first date at the movies and it was very uncomfortable. Put-put golfing is something fun and cheap that you can definitely talk during. Bowling, an arcade, or maybe even just a walk in a park? Hope this helps.

For my first date, we went to a movie and then drove around and talked. Although, a drive might be difficult if gas prices are high where you live. If the weather's nice, there's always the park. Or, some place casual to eat or get coffee.
Have fun!

How about dinner and then maybe go to a local fair, bowling, mini-golf or go carts.
