I have a feeling you are asking because you have used some meth and have to test and want to have a back up plan just in case you come out dirty or you have already tested positive and need an excuse as to why it was dirty. If so you can say that you had been taking cold medicine like everyone above has said and they will change your test result to a false positive and you can test again and hopefully this time you will be clean. The testing that they are doing now days in alot of labs are able to screen out the false positives and know when it is meth and not because of sudafed. Your best bet is to try and stay clean unless you want to end up looking like my avatar.

Large doses of pseudoephedrine or ephedrine may trigger a positive on the common immunoassay urinalysis strips. The dosages required are very large as the tests are designed for methamphetamine. Methamphetamine alcohols, which both pseudoephedrine and ephedrine are, don't react as readily with the indicating agent on the strips and thus must be present at a much higher concentration.
You should know that under federal law, any positive result on a drug test that will effect your job, school or legal status _must_ be confirmed via GC/MS. The strips are not accurate enough, they can cross react with any number of things to give a false result.
GC/MS can discriminate between methamphetamine and pseudo/ephedrine easily, both by detecting the compound itself in any amount and by which metabolites are present.
Lying about a false positive won't work and no consumable product that will mask a water soluable drug like meth, only dilution and sample additives, which are also detectable, are effective in circumventing a positive result.

They are used for allergies and sinus problems , and they all contain the same ingredient. Ask your Pharmacist at your local drug store ,because they are all kept behind the counter now because of the meth labs. I'm know this to be a fact in NC your have to sign for them and show a picture ID, and it is recorded and if you exceed the amount they think you should have it all is feed in to a data base at the police dept. and you become a suspect. Call you local 24 hour drug store and ask so you don't take this drug and it ruins your chances for a career.

Not exactly the same but somewhat similar elation occurs with Pseudo ephedrine. To counter other side effects of sudafed 25mgs of cardio selective beta blocker can be used.

Forget it. Any positives on the basic screen will lead to their doing a GLC backup test that shows exactly what drug you took. You can't reliably fool a drug screen.
