Well, here's the thing:

There is a saying (Indian I think) that goes, "Religion is like fingers pointing to a beautiful moon. However, instead of looking at the moon, we are all speculating on the right way to point our fingers."

Christians are admonished to hate the sin but love the sinner. Yet, not be unequally yoked (as in marriage) with an unbeliever.
Any compromise must be weighed against scriptural taboos.

I would like for my co-workers to stop saying "god bless you" every time I sneeze. That would be nice and tolerant of them. I'm tired of always being the tolerant one who has to smile and say "thank you" all the time for that meaningless statement I hear day in and day out. I have sinus problems; I sneeze a LOT. I do not believe in their Christian version of "god", nor do I believe that any god would care one way or the other whether I sneeze. These people say it out of self-serving obsequiousness and it really gets on my nerves. I would love for people to just leave the god-stuff out of the workplace. I do not wear any thing that signifies my faith because I know all the Christians I work with would be offended. They do know that I am not Christian; why must they continue to chirp out that meaningless statement every time my nose itches?

I would want them to give up their religions. This nation was founded in Christianity, and anyone who chooses to believe differently should be deported.
