Can i add water if i wan 2 heat up my pasta sauce?

yes u may. But not too much.. u can add in additional ingredients like mushroom, mince meat and meat balls into the sauce.
Without water the sauce may get burnt easily.
And you may have a hard time washing the pot.

Yep. Or if you want a bit of flavor, use a few ounces of wine instead, or a bit of tomato juice.
