DO i have cancer?

ct showed a mass near in end of my rectum. A PET SCAN REPORT TOLD ME NOTHING all the doctor said was to have a cat scan in 3 months, what the hell was the purpose of a cat scn and the pet scan. the doc wants to do a needle biospy near my rectum. Why can the doctors tell me if i have cancer? I have also a brain that they told it was not caancer. the symptoms are worde now. what is your opinion?

A negative PET scan greatly reduces the possibility of cancer unless you have a tiny cancer that was too small to show up on the PET scan. A cancer small enough to be missed by the PET scan would have to be about 1/2 inch or less in size. The follow-up CT scan is to make certain there are no significant changes happening with the mass in the next three months.

I'd get the suggested biopsy since this will be a very minor procedure and will give you an exact answer as to what is going on. The biopsy will be much easier than worrying for three months and if you do have a problem you would have a three month head start on fixing it. You should not assume that you have cancer until you read it on the pathology report because your mass could be a number of benign conditions. good luck

Only a biopsy can truly reveal what it is. Cancer is just a term for a whole series of diseases and a PET scan is the best for picking up cancers, as it uses radiactive sucrose (which attaches itself to cancerous cells). Other machines reveal much about changes to these and other areas of your body, and that is why they use those combined as well.

If you want your mind at ease have the biopsy but otherwise it's a watch and see thing. They will do that with some cancers too...watch and wait...at least they are looking at this and you've done all these tests to date.

It is likely a benign tumour or mass. Sometimes even benign tumours are treated the same as cancerous ones, but if it's not growing that's good, but if it is, then they would likely do something fast and opt to remove it. The danger is if it's near your spine as there are a lot of nerve endings there...not impossible to remove but you would likely have some nerves damaged in the process.

the reason he is doing a biopsy to see if the mass is cancer. sometimes you can tumors that are non cancerous. I know someone who was tested positive for hepatitis C there blood work showed positive but they still did a biopsy on this person.

Why would I rely on your backward methods for diagnosing cancer, that is, with invasive procedures such as biopsies and radiation from CT scans?? Are you aware that when a person has cancer they have elevated levels of hCGH in their urine? This can sometime be detected with a pregnancy test if the hCGH levels are high enough.

Let me add a caveat, pregnancy tests don't always show positive when a person has cancer because the hCGH levels aren't always high enough. But if they are high enough...bingo! It's a great way to to uncover cancer cheaply and painlessly.

There is a more sophisticated pregnancy test that is about 98% accurate and picks up malignancies six months to two years prior to other methods of screening. The downside to that test right now is that you have to send away for the results and there is a six week turn around on the results.

One more thing. The hCGH conection is yet another piece of evidence that cancer cells are trophoblast cells that have been turned on. It's the unitarian theory of cancer which was first discovered by a Dr. Beard about 100 years ago.

Trophoblast cells release hCGH as a byproduct of its activity. In pregnancy it plays a role in producing life by invasively eating a niche in the uterine wall. In cancer, the same invasiveness causes destruction. But the trophoblast cells can be turned off easily as my own case helps to demonstrate.

In conclusion, in this thread we're discussing the merits of a variety of deadly chemo agents in a case that is so far advanced that the only outcome from the chemo is going to be negative. It's a case of 'pretending' to be doing something. The doctors want to help. Unfortunately their tools aren't suited to the task. But psychologically they must believe, especially when it can be difficult to tell the patient you have nothing to offer them.

Meanwhile, the only methods that work are the ones that turn off the trophoblast cells while supporting the healthy cells....which happen to be the vast majority of the cells. Chemo fails in the latter. And instead of turning off the trophoblast cells, they kill them. It's a recipe for disaster.

I know of people whose cancer has 'spontaneously remitted' (WENT AWAY for no known reason) AFTER they went on programs of herbs and nutrition to restart their immune systems.

I don't trust doctors, go to a book store and buy Natural Cures. The blood cells that causes cancer are triggered majority by stress or smoking or your diet or genetic. Just take 5000 to 10000mg of vitamin "C", and eat lots of veggies and fruits. Try fasting 3 days of only fresh fruit drinks and veggies to detoxification your blood cells. My friend just passed away from acute cancer, and the doctors chemotherapy just killed him.
