Strong, independent girls are not clingy and don't like guys who are either. it makes them feel smothered. Insecure, needy girls love guys who are clingy because it makes them feel secure in the relationship. I personally think clingy=lack of self esteem. Only when you are comfortable with yourself will you attract the perfect partner, and it will be a partnership where you both have your lives (friends, hobbys, etc...) outside of the relationship.

Dont like it. Real turn off.
It means the guy is insecure in himself and needy (or just looking for a feel).
Attention and affection are different than clingy. Love is a feeling, not a bear hug and not letting go. Kind of like a mosquitoe. Learn ways to express love. Let her cling to you.

Well me...I dont like a guy to be clingy. It means that they want to be with you 24/7 and want you to hang out only with them...always taking up your time. Its the same when girls do it.

clingy can mean alot of things. but no, i as a woman hate clingy/needy men.
i just think its a horrible quality for a man to have, and i have never stayed with a man who is clingy. there is no room for love in clingy relationships. obsession maybe, but never love..

look, you've just got to use your judgement and find a balance. of course all girls love attention from guys whether we like them or not because it's flattering. but when you give us too much, you become less desirable-this is really really important. it's what we call "the game." You want what you don't have and when you get it you don't want it anymore. When you with the right person, however, none of this will matter because you'll both want to be with eachother.

i hate when guys are clingy! they just need to learn to trust me. calling me every five minutes to see where i am is not cute. its smothering and irritating.
