We take our 2 german shepherds everywhere with us including on vacation.
2 years ago we left central Illinois and drove to Fort Collins,Co.and had a great time with them swimming in the river and hiking in the mountains. When we left Co.,we went to Mt.Rushmore in So.Dakota and again had a great time before returning homeWe have a Chevy Tahoe {our rolling kennel} and evan with all we took with they had plenty of room to stretch out and move around in.We stopped frequently at rest stops so they could stretch their legs. They stayed in motel rooms with us with no problem at all.
I packed blankets for them to lay on.Their food and water bowls, food, sausage sticks, peanut butter crackers and a 2 gallon thermos with water from home and pig ears.
Best Western,Motel6 and Super 8 all allow dogs in the rooms but charge a deposit for them.Alot of places did not charge us tho after I explained that they had plenty of things for them to chew and they'd not be left in the room unattended.
We went at the end of Sept.when it was cooler for the dogs and cheaper for us as well.
We had no set schedule so we made no hotel reservations we drove till we got tired and started looking for a place to stay.We had no problems finding one but again it was the end of the season.
We had a tent with us just in case but did'nt stay in it once evan tho that was the plan once we got to Co. Once there tho we were warned about the bears roaming the camp grounds so we chose to stay in a motel instead. In So.Dakota we were warned about the mountain lions so again found a motel.
Pet deposits range from 20-40.00 for our dogs but like I said most of the time it was waved. So I left a $20.00 tip on the pillow for the maids.Lawst spring I got several cards in the mail from different places we stayed in inviting us back.

all of it kinda relies upon on how far you're prepared to go back and forth. canine love the coastline and the lake. those 2 places could have leases that are extra off to themselves than a hotel the position people does no longer be an issue. the most suitable vacation I ever took with my canine become Florida. She loved it! lease a cabin or a residence in case you may.

Alot of places don't allow pets. Alot of people don't like dogs,
and some dogs bark alot. I would suggest you look into alot
of places and make sure they definetly allow dogs. I can't
think of any place off hand. Unless you were renting a cottage
or something like that from someone you know. I wish I could
help you more, but vacationers don't seem to be to pet
friendly.

I'm not sure but I'll try to help.
Mostly when I go on vacations, they don't let people bring pets with them...
But I saw in this movie that this woman bought her pet dog with her. I'm not sure...
But to me, it depends on what you are gonna be on to get to the vacation. Like a car, airplane, cruise ship, and more. I'm not sure. So very sorry!

we took our dog to tahoe, ca. there was this dog friendly cabin that gated it's property so your dog could roam on the property. it was great. we took him to play in the snow. he met a friend on the trip too. you just have to look for a dog friendly city. the people we met were nice too. b/c they had a dog as well, they would dog sit for us when we went out to go boarding. so it was super nice.
