I like Cadbury Eggs but only 1 per year. They are so sweet, almost too sweet! But, it's a fun seasonal thing!
I don't like peeps at all, but my husband does. Too sugary for me! Although, I do love the different shapes & colors they have come out with for all holidays now.

shall we commence with the neo-pagan mythology. contained in the 18th and nineteenth century, romantic writers wanted to create a mythical previous for Britain to rival the Norse sagas etc. They created an entire load of mythology depending on the concept that any people custom which become no longer of route and explicitly Christian should be a pagan remnant. They were helped in this via puritanical protestants who objected to something that smacked of Roman Catholicism deriding it as "pagan practices". those myths are very virtually completely with out any historic foundation. there is no historic Celtic delusion about a goddess with eggs and rabbits as her image. no longer something on the record in any respect. So: Eggs: maximum likely a custom derived from the Catholic practice of fasting for the period of Lent - the era most ideal as a lot as Easter. people would provide up eggs, meat and dairy produce. Eggs were for this reason given as a present day to symbolise the top of the fast and the Easter ceremonial dinner. The bunny maximum likely become initially a hare. Hares make nests contained in the open field to rear their youthful. those nests have a resemblance to three birds nests. consequently the tall tale arose that hares lay eggs - deliver someone out to discover hare's eggs - it truly is, on a wild goose chase. So the Easter hare brings eggs for toddlers - overdue transmuted into chocolate eggs and sweet. Its only a people custom that arose round Easter,
