me and my boo have been dating for almost a year .. next month :) and well .. i was going to get him a watch, but found out he doesnt like those so now i dont know what to get him?

Something from the heart. Be creative and make him something. Even if it's a card or a poem or something. Spend the day together (If school or work doesn't interfere) just enjoying each other's company and looking back on the past year together. Whatever it is, I'm sure he'll love it because it's from you.

yes tickets to a concert is a great idea. another great idea my own is to go and have your picture taken by a professional. i know some people tear up photos when they break up buy i think that is stupid. even if you break up there was good in that time and having a photo is great thing to look back on days weeks and years later even if married. i have no problem with my wife keeping a pic or two of her ex bf's so long as there not nude or rude or on display around the home.
something anything that can be a good way for your bf to remember the date of this all is good too . i dont know the dates of my own family's birthdays that does not mean i dont love them but it might be as a man i just dont seem to remember things like that unless its tied to something. say i famous concert or the day i got a new car or a shuttle launch something like that . thats just me but hey i think i am not so unlike most men.

Cook him dinner. Buy some steaks and lobster tails and make a nice salad. Medium range wine or champagne to top it all off. For dessert chocolate covered strawberries. If that doesn't blow him away nothing will.

Spend a whole half a day with him (preferably 8pm to 8am) in your room, with romantic music, dinner (or luch if 7am to 7pm) and tell him how glad you are to spend your 1st aniiversery of going out together with him.

The first year gift is something made of paper.Like a card or something you've made just for him.He'll love anything you give him.Or at least act like it!!

don't get him anything fancy. you two should do something simple. for an example, go to the beach, have a picnic, and watch the sunset...then kiss him. gifts don't always have to be expensive...just memorable. =]
