if you must date a frat guy, do so away from the fraternity house and their functions. i dated a frat guy, and everything was going fine until i went to one of their functions and i saw how gossipy and stuck up each others asses they are. if he has no identity besides the one he shares with all the others, run away screaming.

Well...depending on the guy. Because all guys are different. I don't think you can lump them all together and think that ALL Frat guys are a waste.
You will find that at 20, 30, or 40 that some men just aren't worth the emotional effort.

I am fraternity brother and don't consider myself a "frat boy" I nor do any of my brothers fulfill the stereotype of a frat boy. Plenty of my brothers have girlfriends and their gfs wouldn't say it's a waste.
You can tell someone's personality before you date them so go after that. One thing i noticed though of all the girls i have dated is the girls that hang around the house are not the ones to date. They are dating the brothers to have more a reason to be there more often.

LOL Two words... Stay away. Unless you enjoy being slipped the random date rape drug. In all honesty you shouldn't take any relationship serious until you are out of college and have had a stable job for at least a few years. College kids are too immature to have anything more serious than a sexual or "live and learn" type of relationship. Guys at that age only want sex and girls have no idea what they want. Even if they did if would change a few times a week. So I guess what I'm saying is...go ahead and date whoever but don't get serious with anyone because it won't last. Oh...an definitely stay away from frat guys.

Well to answer this, I think you need to judge the guy and not the fact that he is in a fraternity. I am in a fraternity and believe myself to be quite able to show my emotions and feelings, but some are not. They are simply out to get "laid" and have a good time and fraternities can help those individuals do that because a group of young adults can do much good such as community service, or great harm: uncontrolled parties. Dont judge the organization but rather the guy.

WoW frat boys can be SO annoying! And the pledges they have to do: this one guy had a take a picture of himself in women's underwear in order to make it into the fraternity! If that doesn't bother you, then go for it :)

well, the frat guy I dated was the nerd of the bunch. he was sweet and cute, and not a player at all...
it really depends on his personality.
It lasted about 2 months though.
and yes, most all of them smoke pot.

Treat them as individuals, and go from there. Some are okay, but others will probably throw up on you....
