Here's what I do!
1)flip your head upside down, and dry your hair halfway that way. It will give your hair volume. Use a root lifter to help.
2)Flip your head .Use a root lifter again. Use a big paddle brush with vents (vented brushes dry your hair faster). Clip your hair into sections. Dry each layer by using the paddle brush to lift. It will straighten your hair as you dry.
I hope this helps. When I do my hair this way, it usually takes about 30 minutes. :)

If you have curly or wavy hair consider getting it straightened at a solon what they do is they run a perm solution through it and comb it straight. Then all you have to do is blow dry it and go. I just had this done and I think it was the best thing to do. It leaves you with no hassles. I am the type that doesn't want to spend hours on my hair so I do things the easy way.

Use a large, round barrel hairbrush and in strands, blow dry, focusing on the roots. (Drying the ends too much lead to unhealthy and split ends).
Before drying your hair, apply a straightening product - I like the Aveda line.

Use a hair straightener but before you use it put some hair oil on your hair so your hair doesnt get burned and use some hair mousse after to keep it straight for the whole day.Thats what I do and it works.

I live by using Nick Chavez Flocker which is a volumizing styling spray you can get on QVC if you live in the U.S. Spray it in then blow dry it.

if you use a good straightener, all you have to do is straighten your hair, and then spray some hair spray and tease it just a little to get the volume you want.

MAKE SURE U APPLY HEAT PROTECTION FIRST. THE L'OREAL ONE'S GOOD
IT DOES HELP IF U BLOW DRY WITH A GOOD BRUSH FIRST, BUT TAKES TIME TOO. THE BETTER YOUR STRAIGHNERS ARE, THE LESS TIME IT'LL TAKE TO STRAIGHTEN & THE LONGER IT'LL LAST
HOPE THAT HELPS :)
