this is not a quart bottle..this is an individual bottle that you buy at the gas station...you usually don't carry cups in your car and you usually would prefer a lid, so it doesn't spill as easy..

for example if you buy a 1 liter coke it has a smaller opening...you don't pour it into a cup when you are stopped for gas for your car and you buy one in the station...come on now people..I suppose you should get a knife and fork to eat a hamburger at MickeyDs...

oh, that just happened to me the other day! and it's always in the car and you never have a way to clean yourself up. i don't know why they make the bottles like that, but it's a good reason to switch to juice boxes :-)

because not everybody has a small mouth, there are also big mouths and medium mouths..

and also because if u are really thirsty u can drink as much as u can, imagine if u where dying to drink something, u found a orange juice bottle, BUT the opening its too small to refresh u..whats the solution...? a bigger openning

The bigger the opening, the faster you drink it and the sooner you have to go buy another bottle. It's all about the money.

I think its so that the bottle makes you think of those orange juice pitchers that you see in the commercial with the fresh squeezed juice... so when you see THEIR bottle, it makes you think its fresh, and you want to buy it, not thinking about how practical it is..
they just wanted you to buy it, they're not concerned with how much of a pain it is to drink.

probably because they expect most people have some manners and use a cup you pour it out of the bottle and into a cup then you drink it a simple solution

It's 'cuz it wasn't meant for you to be drinking from the can (if you're talking about those large family sized Tropicana ones). It is optimized and designed to make it easier to pour in a variety sizes and shapes of glass I guess...
