call an ambulance and start cooling that baby off. i have had alot of experience with this, and the most important things to do besides getting to the doctor are to lower the temp (dont try to give anyone who is having a seizure things to drink or meds, they will choke!) and to make sure the airway is clear. be sure the child is getting enough air, best laying on side than on back, clear tongue away from airway. the ambulance will provide oxygen. febrile seizures can happen at temps as low as 103, the best thing to do either on the way to the hospital or at home waiting for an ambulance is COOL THAT CHILD DOWN! brain damage can occur from high temps

You need to make sure this is just a febrile seizure, if your baby is unresponsive after the seizure you need to get your baby to a hospital, the best way is by calling 911. If the baby is awake, and feels hot to the touch, then you should go to the closest ER to have the baby evaluated. If your baby has had tylenol before you can try giving some, BUT only if the baby is awake. It is best not to wrap the baby in a lot of blankets as this just causes the heat coming off the baby to remain close to the baby, thereby increasing the babies temp.

Sweetie, nobody here has any business telling you what to do when your baby has a seizure. You have no way of knowing who we really are, and your baby's health is nothing to take chances with.
If your doctor has told you what to do, do what your doctor said. If your doctor hasn't, ask your doctor. If you child is having a seizure now, and your doctor hasn't told you want to do, take your baby to the ER, NOW. Best wishes to you and your baby.

my 4 year old son had those type of seizures too, when he is having one lay him on his side on the floor, away from things that can cause harm. wait it out,if it lasts for more than 5 minutes, call 911, the paramedics had to give him meds to stop the seizure. my son had lots of testing done to rule out other problems like epilepsy. he will grow out of it, my son had 3 total. i always panicked, my husband was the calm one, i called 911 every time, its scary.if you are in doubt, CALL THE PARAMEDICS, thats what they are there for, hope this helps.

worry more about prevention
treat the fever with Tylenol, don't bundle the baby, and give the baby lots of fluids.
