Briggs has always been big and strong, that can not be said for Moorer. Moorer is faster, but when you catch him, as Briggs could, he'd be out. When I say Moorer is fast, he is not FAST fsat. Foreman beat him even. Thus proving you can let Moorer work himself out. And Tua beat him in a Ruiz-esque fashion... not chin. Briggs win, no doubt.

Now this would be a hell of a slugfest. Bot men were aggressive and powerful. They would take each other to the limit. This is actually an interesting matchup. Briggs has the edge in power and chin. Moorer had the edge in defense and speed.
I think this fight would reach the distance, though. Both men are not capable of knocking the other out. I see Moorer taking the early and most of the middle rounds, too. Briggs, however, will rally down late to earn a majority decision win.

Two of the best three round fighters of their era. Moorer was arguably the hardest puncher at 175 ever. Briggs has always faded early, and would do so against Moorer.

Michael Moorer in 6 by TKO

I would go with Moorer. He had the better amateur background, won the true heavyweight belt from Holyfield, plus fought and beat better fighters than Briggs has. Neither guy is very consistent and they both have shaky chins but i think Moorer would win by comfortable decision or late TKO.

moorer quit like 7 years ago , shannon briggs has been up and down around and underground on the bottom and some how back on top???? so i think it will be more of a good fight than some people think it will be....i will pick s.briggs because of his size and his chin...at least the one that he had before he left ...

Moorer is making a comeback right, so this fight could happen if he works his way up to Briggs.

IN DREAM FIGHT, THE ONLY WAY THAT U CAN DETERMINE THEIR PRIMES IS TO BE REALISTIC. MOORER WAS 27 WHEN HE FOUGHT HOLYFIELD. BRIGGS IS 36.

I AM NOT HAGLER, I DON'T PLAY IN A BOUT STACKED IN YOUR FAVOR.

IN THEIR REAL TIME PRIMES, I PICK MOORER IN A 15 RD SPLIT DECISION.
