They usually give you a general refund date that is about 2 to 3 weeks away---then as the time gets closer to your actual refund date---they update their site and give you an exact refund date of when they are doing a direct deposit into your bank account, or when they are actually going to mail you a check. Keep checking your status (they update on Wednesdays) because I'm sure it will change for you and it will be there quicker than you were expecting. Been there, done that! LOL!

I work for the IRS. We have 3 weeks from the moment your return hits our mailroom (or database) to get your refund to you. Usually it's faster than that.
