Depending on the amount of use. Teflon pans are inexpensive and I replace mine every year. Titanium coated pans are safe as is Anodized, but take getting used to just like Stainless Steel, all types of pans cook and disperse heat differently

Yeah, however long it takes for someone to scratch them.
Depends on the quality. Cheap teflon will come off pretty quickly. Good quality teflon pans should last years and years.

i used to use teflon pans--but they scratched so easily! i guess they weren't very good quality. as a wedding gift, i got a set of cuisinart stainless steel pots and pans. i have never used anything so fabulous in my life! i swear by them. i want more! they heat so quickly and evenly, clean beautifully, and there's no risk of being poisoned by teflon! i would seriously give them a try! SO SO worth it!!! you could pay the big bucks and get calphalon (which i wouldn't mind having either) but the cusinart pots are great!

Without high heat and without the use of metal utensils, a pretty long time. Never use detergents on them and don't use chor-boys on them. Hot water and a soft scrubby is good and don't stack together with other pans unless there is a paper towel in between them. Saves from scratching them, too.

I just replaced my T-fal after 15 years. But, I have been really careful with them. It's so easy to scratch them. Got a brand new set for Christmas! :)

It depends on how you take care of them. Do not use any metal utensils, only wood, plastic. Even better are the high temp silicone pieces.
