its been about 3 months since we moved in. we pay way too much a month, and my dad is really stressed out. he wont admit it though, that he made a mistake in buying the house. my mom thinks that he can handle it, and barely helps about 1/5 of the whole payment. and since he works all the time, with only 4 hours to sleep, no fruits, little veggies, and lots of stress, with no medical insurance, im afraid that his health is at risk. but what can i do? im not old enough to get a job yet... and he doesnt listen to me.

Maybe you can help him out by making him a good breakfast in the morning, something light and quick, like some fruit? Also you could help by helping around the house, anything you can do to free up some time for him, and not give him things to worry about. He'll be OK though, I did the same thing several years ago, worked way too much and didn't take care of myself. But now things are much better. Good luck!

You sound young enough that your father won't let you help.
I don't think there is much you can do except talk to a trusted relative, someone he feels connected with. Tell him or her that your dad has been really stressed about the house. That person might recommend reconfiguring the mortgage or finding a new house.

Talk to your mom about it. you're too young to go out to get a job, so that's out. Your mom has to pitch in to help pay for this house. Let her know that your dad is stressed. show her some calculations if you can of how much the house is , how much your dad has to pay, how much he gets when he gets his pay, and how much your mom pays. It's best to let her know or call a family meeting to get this problem straightened out.
