Because FOX NEWS dares to tell the truth, and they are number 1. Liberals can't stand that.

I personally think ALL MEDIA is blinded to what their duty is by the almighty dollar. There was a time when media was seen as a loss. Meaning that you had to make money elsewhere to support the losses you would make by owning a media agency.

Then came the advent of making money off of selling the news...for a profit. Since this time the media has gotten worse and worse at telling the truth.

I personally never rely on one source, even Fox News. All media is very bad at getting the truth told since they will spin it to pertain to a certain audience and make ratings and a profit. Fox news however does the best at getting the most truth out there while still making a profit.

As for liberal and conservative Fox News definately is more conservative then most news stations, if not all. This doesn't mean they are conservative by far they just tend to sell their product to that market by having more conservative commentators on then liberal while the other networks don't really care to show a conservative view at all.

This difference is partly why they are so hated, they give a different view then the rest which makes people believe they are wrong.

I suggest doing what I do. Read the same article from at least 5 different sources and weed through the subliminal messages, biased reporting (syntax) and take what is the same in the stories. This is the truth 75% of the time. If it pertains to the war in Iraq, Afghanistan or Guantanamo Bay don't rely on any news source, ask a veteran for the truth.

Fox News has the same problem as all of our major corporate-owned news stations today. They are out to make money, NOT INFORM PEOPLE. Regarding the War in Iraq, they provide miniscule coverage of only a sprinkling of the many stories related to it and ignore or nearly ignore stories that are controversial or incriminating of the motives for the war and the way it is conducted. When gossip presents itself, they obsess over it (Anna Nicole Smith's death, Kobe Bryant trial, etc) and then we get even less about the REAL NEWS that is taking place all over the globe. Simply put, if you get your news from Fox, you are so not informed. The other big reason to despise Fox is, of course, Bill O'Reilly.

I regard different news sources as more reliable in some areas than others. During my tour in Iraq I did discover that Fox news did present a more accurate picture of events in Iraq than the other news agencies.

I was personally involved in one incident where CNN refused to correct or retract their story after we proved that it was false. I guess that 'hundreds dead made for better ratings than the truth (that fewer than 10 died).

They are the closest thing to honest that exists in the liberal dominated media. The libs hate them because they will occasionally report on a hero from the war or something positive that happened. It makes the libs feel guilty when see things like that and instead of changing their beliefs they must hate the truth. Just like they hate Christians. Same logic

I don't hate it, I just watch CNN because it is based here in Atlanta, now my uncle he LOVES Fox News and is all he will watch. He hates the fact that I like CNN and we always have an arguement about it lol. (all in good fun of course)

Because most of it is editorialism according to the standards taught at the Defense Information School.

soldier,

I don't necessarily hate FOX news...I watch it, along with other news networks. I always take what's shown, presented or otherwise stated with a HUGE grain of salt...and that's with ALL news.

Although "fair and balanced" is their catch phrase, I agree that FOX, along with CNN, CNBC, and the rest of the news alphabet soups were all created by the liberal media...and that none of them are worthy of my complete trust.

Sorry, but fox news is a bunch of biggotted, ratings-minded, insensitive louts. They only tell one side of every story, and frequently IGNORE pertinent facts. Infact, they were flat outrageous and wrong when they accused the 15 year old boy who was kidnapped of actually wanting to be kidnapped because he didn't try to run away, etc. That was just gross, wrong, and uncalled for. Fox has yet to give the child an apology.

I guess people just have a hard time taking it seriously as a news channel. It's more like a tabloid, like National Enquirer or The Star.
