If you are using the older fax machines you place the paper that you want faxed away from you, that is on the side you can't see, dial number to be faxed and press start. Your fax machine can sometimes be used as emergency copy machine in really dire circumstances. Good luck.

Read your manual.
Some faxes take it face down, others take it face up. It depends upon the sheet feeder.
You will also need to know how to press the buttons, and how to connect it to the phone line etc.
Read your manual.
If you don't have a manual, then search with the name of the manufacturer of the fax machine. Try to get a manual from them.

It depends on the fax you use But in general in most of faxes you should face the side you want to Post AWAY from you........Hope I helped you

Are you talking a scanner, at work,? a stand alone? an all-in-one...? You fax the same way you copy.
It's just that when you fax - you "PRINT to fax machine".. if your using MS Fax. Every computer IS a fax machine........
