Hey John, yep it really does work. Just cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Get some cotton balls and apply juice to your face as you would a moisturiser, concentrating on pimples, marks and scarring. Then leave to dry naturally for approx 1 hour. Afterwards rinse your face with a sponge and warm water. Then get some cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, yep the one mum cooks with, and using a small bit rub over your face as a moisturiser. Even if you have oily skin already, everybody's skin needs some oil. Voila !! Good hey?? Totally natural, really cheap and really good for your skin.

Also, make sure you drink plenty of water each, at least 2 litres. If you mix 2 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar with cold water and drink 1/2 hour before each meal, this will greatly improve your bodies ability to digest and eliminate. When we eat too much acid foods (mainly white foods and junk foods) our body has a hard time digesting it all. This can then cause lack of energy, stomach aches, toxin build up in your system and acne and bad skin.................. You'll also find that organic apple cider vinegar and water a few times a day will give you a little pep and more energy........... :0)

PEACE

Minx' answer was pretty good except that I disagree strongly about putting oil on the blackheads after using lemon juice (rubbing alcohol also works). I also don't think that you should use the lemon juice on any area other than where the blackheads are.

I have blackheads & my dermatologist told me NEVER to use any sort of moisturizer on my nose. Most people have enough oil in their skin (or too much).
