I was adopted at 7 months of age, the details of my adoption are complex and too much to get into, but My birth mother lost her rights over me, and a year or two later, lost her rights over my brother. She was murdered when i was around 11 or 12 years old. Apparently, she had twin girls, but they passed away. I would really like to know more, but have no idea where to start and i am not willing to pay for services i cannot afford when it is not a sure thing. My brothers birth name was Jeremy Easly, his DOB was March 1st of probably 1983 or 84. My birth name was Katrina Danielle Guitano, Feb 1st 1982, and my birth mothers name was Carol Anita Guitano, she was murdered November of 95. My alleged birth fathers names are either Gary Easly or Tony Cook. If anyone has any idea of more info or knows of a route that i can take, please let me know. Thank you. P.S. I need to know medical info as well, such as hereditary disorders, like autism and MD.

The first thing you can do is petetion a judge to open the records, then you will have to follow up with that.

Hi. I am adopted too. Before you search for your birth family, you need to weigh the emotional side of the search. It is important to know what you are getting into. Contact me and I will gladly send you in the right direction towards a birth family reunion. The first place to start is where you were born. Secondly, you have some of the info, already, in names of potential birth parents. Many states will contact birth parents for you to get medical info. Third, you can contact some adoptee-search groups. There also groups that support adopted children through this process. In Tennessee, it is the Tennessee Coalition for Adoption Reform. I am not sure if it is still in operation, though.
