Angels evolved from the flying monkeys on the Wizard of Oz. That's why they have wings. Duh!

LMAO

How, exactly, do you know that nothing shares genetic traits with angels? Genetic traits can't always be seen in physical similarities. And since science has never actually had a sample of angelic DNA to work with, you can't prove that angels didn't evolve.

By the way, most of us atheists don't believe in angels either.

Angel DNA can't be properly sequenced on this plane of reality but angelologists have been able to assemble a taxonomy of this supernatural phylum from observational evidence. Of the 9 species of angel, the two fiercest and most well-known are the cherub and the seraph. The early cherubim, cherubus primitivus, was basically a head with wings, as depicted by the Renaissance artists. As such, it was not able to instill, in its prey, so much fear as laughter. Unable to secure an adequate supply of human ectoplasom to survive on, c. primitivus was in danger of near extinction, except for a few hideous mutant forms which scared the bejebus out of people and were able to survive long enough to reproduce and pass on their genes. The most successful, c. horrificus, is a formidable soul predator. As evidenced in the Bible, only God can tame it well enough to deliver his messages. (Note how all angels introduce themselves by saying: "Don't be afraid.")

The Seraph angel had a similar maladaptive beginning. As its name suggests, seraphus eoseraphus was a snake-like apparition that tended to elicit attempts to stomp on it, rather than awe. Eons of development were needed before its descendant, seraphus brontaggelos, was a suitable guardian of the divine throne.

The other geni, Principalities, Dominions, Powers and such, developed later and were better adapted to their environments, but some distinct species have developed over time.

Who was the original, hypothecized aggelos primerus? Unfortunately, no trace remains to us. Perhaps after the final judgment, teams of saved archaeologists will be able to set up digs at some of the old angel boneyards to resolve this mystery.

Angels, of course, evolved from other figments of the imagination. Until just a couple decades ago, scientists ignored the study of such figments as they were then-thought to be too elusive to study. Give science some time, and perhaps Angels will have their lineage traced all the way back to the very first mental models of living beings, or perhaps even further back than that.

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU GOD BOTHERERS HAVE TO BE TOLD

WE DIDN'T EVOLVE FROM APES

WE EVOLVED FROM THE SAME ANCESTOR AS APES

As for angels, they are the deluded product of the same minds that made up the bible

And how can you use the lack of an ancestor to Angels as an argument - YOU HAVE NO PROOF THEY EVER EXISTED AT ALL

I didn't know they had angel DNA in file...

How come people saw angels all the time 2000 years ago but they never visit earth anymore?

PS: You are assuming all atheists are evolutionists - a silly mistake, but don't worry, you're not the first to make it and you won't be the last.

Honey I believe in angels too, but they are not real in the same sense that humans are real. My guardian angel is my voice of reason, my conscience, my intuition that tells me to stop being a jack** on yahoo answers and do something good with my life. It is powerful, reasonable, it is true, and it might even get me to do or act a certain way, but it's still not real, it's not real to you, me, or anyone else, so your option is, if you really want an angel to exist, you have to be good and act like one.

Do you normally prevaricate in making statements to people or only when you state that scientist have access to "genetic traits [of] angels." Is this another of the Christians' secret gifts from their God.

A better question would be if we evolved from apes why are there still apes? Why haven't all apes evolved to become humans? An atheist is not going to believe in angels anyway.
